how to use a nailpad

September 9, 2018 | no comments | General The story | by: nailpadhosting

We discovered there were four main ways we would attempt to paint our finger and toe nails. And then designed the nailpad to help making nail painting easier using these four ways:

  1. sitting on the sofa, watching tv, with the nail varnish between our legs
  2. on the bed, with bent knees
  3. on the floor to paint toe nails
  4. on a table

Have a look, here’s how a nailpad could work for you…

the photo shoot…

From the beginning, nailpad has always been about fun and the opportunity to work on a project together (creators and twin sisters, Tori and Carrie with their husbands, Joe and James). Over the past five years, since the nailpad idea was first conceived, we’ve always had a laugh bringing the project to life. And our photo shoot was no different – bringing together all members of the family 🙂

our idea

It all started back in 2012, when Tori and Carrie were chatting about all the problems they faced when painting their nails. The worry of spilling nail varnish on clothes or carpets whilst balancing the bottle between legs and leaning precariously on a magazine that may slip at any time…

Tori & Carrie

Since 2012 we have tweaked, amended and revised the nailpad to achieve the right size (small enough when folded up for a handbag), a practical size pot holder (to fit virtually all sizes and shape of nail varnish) and a fold out leg (to keep the nailpad surface steady when painting nails).

Between our day jobs, looking after young families and finding time to bring the nailpad to life and with the help of Tori and Carrie’s husband’s Joe and James, we’re finally able to say the nailpad is ready for nail painting action 🙂

We currently sell a bright pink and shiny black version of the nailpad.

Any feedback, good or bad, we’d love to hear from you.

Please do get in touch,
